Traditional Chinese Veterinary Medicine

TCVM encompasses acupuncture and Chinese herbals.  The goal of TCVM is to bring the body into energetic balance so that it can heal itself.  Acupuncture (the use of needles to stimulate specific energy points in the body) has been shown to increase the body’s natural pain relievers (enkephalins and endorphins), increase blood flow, and speed healing for both orthopedic and neurologic diseases.  It has also been used successfully to treat a multitude of internal medicine diseases.
Dr. Rosado was certified in veterinary acupuncture by the Chi Institute in Reddick, FLand the China National Society of TCVM in 2006 after 130 hours of training and completing a 40-hour externship with a certified veterinary acupuncturist at the University of Florida, College of Veterinary Medicine.  In cases where herbals might be helpful, she works closely with certified veterinary herbologists to choose the best herbal combinations for her patients.  Dr. Rosado has experience in treating a variety of conditions using acupuncture and herbals including neurologic disease, orthopedic disease, diabetes, Cushing’s disease, cancer, kidney andliver failure, and gastrointestinal disorders.  She has successfully treated horses, dogs, and cats with a variety of conditions using TCVM.

Cold Laser Therapy
